Catcelona

Catcelona is a casual game where players must find 300 cats in a setting inspired by the city of Barcelona. The cats featured in the game include those belonging to the Bakers who supported our Kickstarter campaign, as well as cats currently residing in animal shelters. A portion of the game's proceeds (5%) will be donated to these shelters, supporting the welfare of cats in need. The first demo of Catcelona will be showcased at IndieDevDay Barcelona in 2024.
My Role in the Project:

Programmer:

Game Mechanics Development: I developed all the mechanics, from the cat searching and interactions to the reward systems and game progression.
Special Interactions: I created mechanics that allow players to interact with all cats, including their physics.

Art Importation: I handled the import and optimization of all art assets for the game, ensuring seamless and visually appealing integration.
Animations: I implemented animations using spritesheets, bringing the cats and other game elements to life.
Shaders Usage: I used shaders to enhance the game's aesthetics, creating visual effects that highlight the beauty of the setting and characters.
