Asteroid VR

n this project, I experimented with virtual reality (VR) in Unity by developing a mobile application using a Mobile VR Headset. The game is set in a space environment where players must focus on meteors for a set period to shoot and destroy them. If a meteor hits the player, the game ends.

Game Development:

Modeling and Texturing: I designed and modeled the meteors and missiles used in the game. I utilized advanced 3D modeling and texturing techniques to create visually realistic meteors and missiles that fit well within the space environment. Each object was textured to enhance its appearance and integrate seamlessly into the VR experience.

Programming: I implemented all the programming required for the game’s functionality. This included developing the gameplay mechanics for detecting player interaction with meteors, the missile firing system, and defeat conditions. I programmed the VR controls so that players could focus and shoot meteors using the mobile VR headset.

VR Interaction and Experience: I configured the VR experience to provide full immersion in the space environment. I adjusted the interface and controls to suit VR, ensuring that the experience was intuitive and responsive.

Key Aspects:

The game offers a challenging experience by requiring precision in aiming and shooting meteors.
Integration of visual elements and effects in VR enhances immersion and gameplay dynamics.
Detailed programming ensures smooth and functional gameplay mechanics.
This project allowed me to explore and apply advanced concepts in virtual reality, from modeling and texturing to programming and optimization for mobile devices. The combination of these skills contributed to creating an engaging and effective VR experience.
